The client
The client is one of Mexico's four largest banks by assets, according to data from the country's banking regulator (CNBV), and one of the most established names in Mexican consumer banking. It runs one of the country's largest ATM networks and, after recently separating from a global financial group, now operates as an independent institution focused on individuals and businesses.
Mexico has more than 62,000 active ATMs, and cash still plays a leading role: currency in circulation ended 2025 above MXN 3.5 trillion, according to the central bank. Every ATM that goes down means a customer who can't get cash, a busier branch and a worse experience.
The challenge
A large ATM fleet is rarely uniform. Over time it accumulates machines from several manufacturers, multiple model generations and a wide range of sites: branches, shopping centers, remote locations. Keeping it available means solving several problems at once:
- Technology diversity: every brand and model has its own modules, spare parts and service procedures.
- Nationwide reach: the ATMs sit in many locations across the country, not just in major cities.
- Parts availability: without the right part on time, a simple fault turns into days of downtime.
- Lifecycle cost: replacing machines too early is expensive; running them without refurbishment drives failures up.
- Measurable service: channel availability has to be backed by a clear contractual commitment.
Scope
Fleet
1,300+ ATMs
Multivendor, multi-model machines installed at locations throughout Mexico.
Commitment
95% SLA
A contractual service level that drives field operations, parts and the depot.
Depot
Repair & refurbishment
A repair depot with parts availability and a full component refurbishment cycle.
The solution
Redsis's Technical Services Division runs a multivendor maintenance model for the bank built on three pillars: nationwide field service, parts management and a repair depot. The contract is active and service is delivered on an ongoing basis.
One provider across manufacturers
Instead of juggling a separate contract for each ATM brand, the bank has a single technical owner for the entire serviced fleet. That simplifies vendor management, unifies reporting and lets every machine be measured against the same SLA.
Parts on hand when they're needed
Spare-parts availability is the foundation of the SLA. Redsis manages parts across the fleet's different models so technicians arrive with what they need and the visit fixes the fault.
Repair depot and refurbishment
Modules and components pulled in the field aren't scrapped. They go to the repair depot, where they are repaired and refurbished so they can go back into service. That loop feeds parts availability and helps extend the useful life of the ATMs.
- On-site technical service with nationwide coverage.
- Multivendor, multi-model capability under a single contract.
- Component repair in the depot instead of replacement with new parts.
- Full refurbishment to extend equipment lifecycle.
- SLA tracking at the center of the operation.
