Accessibility
Our commitment to a site anyone can use, what we have done to get there, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us.
Our commitment
We build this site to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, with a screen reader, with magnification, or with reduced motion. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
What we have done
Semantic markup and landmark regions, a skip link that becomes visible on focus, navigation that works entirely from the keyboard including the menus and the region selector, visible focus states, text alternatives for images, colour contrast checked against the AA thresholds, and motion that stops when your system asks for reduced motion.
Where we know we fall short
Content embedded from third parties and documents published as PDFs may not reach the same standard, because we do not control how they are built. Ask us and we will provide the same content in an accessible form.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If something on this site blocks you, write to [email protected] with the address of the page and what happened. Tell us what you were using if you can — it usually saves a round trip. We will answer and fix it, and if a fix will take time we will tell you how to get what you needed in the meantime.
